Problems importing from IPB 2.3.6 to vB 3.8.2
 

Good morning all,

I've been running an IPB board for a little while now on a different project (long time vB license holder, several other vB communities under my belt) and have decided to switch it over to vB instead. :)

The process for this migration has been as follows:

• Existing IPB database called sitename_forum

• New vB database called sitename_vbulletin

• Uploaded vBulletin files and ran the installer. Verified to work.

• Confirmed that the IPB installation still works.

• Configured and uploaded IMPEX. Executed it from the vB AdminCP

• Everything appears to work except that forums, threads and posts are not showing up inside of vBulletin.

• No errors inside the IMPEX. It looks exactly as if it worked! The forums, threads and posts just don't show up when you log into vB and look for them either inside the forum or inside the AdminCP.

Thoughts as to what's going on here?
