Compressing JS files
 

I was just wondering, is it a good idea to use mod_deflate to compress java script files? I know vBulletin does it to this forum, however I was wondering whether or not it would be a good idea on a server which has wordpress blogs, copermine gallery and phpld directory?

Is there any incompatibility issues which can arise due to this or any other problem?
