RSS Question Hey Gang, I've been utilizing RSS for a while, and subscribe to our external.php?type=RSS2 feed in Google Reader. I have noticed that NEW THREADS create a new item in the RSS feed, just as it's supposed to. However, is it possible to also have REPLIES update the RSS? In other words - say, there is a thread that was created last year, and just today gets a new reply ... it makes it a newly updated thread, but it does not show up in the RSS feed ... only new threads show up ... replies to older threads don't. I suppose the issue is that a very active thread would cause dozens, if not hundreds, of replies - thus, making the RSS feed explode with links to the same thread - not a good idea. Just curious if there is a "way", and if so - would it make sense? |
