Tags Are thread tags really useful for a private forum?
 

I might be wrong here, but my understanding is that thread tags are useful mainly for external search engine optimization. But if your forum is a private one, that becomes a moot point, does it not?

Or is there real value internally for thread tags? It seems to me that if someone was interested in finding a thread with a particular "keyword" or "tag" in mind, it would be a simple matter to search using that particular keyword as usual.

If my understanding is correct then I will be disabling thread tags globally as I really don't see much value in them for my purposes.

Is there another value to thread tags that I'm not seeing?
