Way Off-Topic But not so off topic......I'm completely lost
 

More so need to vent as I'm at my wits end. To start this off, I've had (note the word HAD) a vb forum up for the past year. A friend of mind did all the work getting the site up and onto his server for me. Well he's gone MIA and I'm SOL! The site went down just a couple of hour ago along with his forum and all the sites he hosted for everyone. :mad: I had a feeling this was going to happen but not this soon and I was able to gather what I needed to so that my husband's website was not completely lost.

I came here hopping to find some info on doing the whole thing myself, but I do not have the time or knowledge to do any of this. The only thing I really know how to do with vb is messing with the admin panel stuff. :(

I do not have any backups for the forum and I'm afraid the db is lost. I was hopping there would be a way to get into the admin panel through an archive of some sort to see what can be done and maybe send an email out to all the members, but not sure if that's even something that can be done.
Any advice on where to being with either recovering anything from the forum or starting over from scratch, I'd really appreciate it.
