Moving registered users to the "Unregistered / Not Logged In" group
 

What would happen if I moved "registered users" primary group into the "Unregistered / Not Logged In" group?

I've got a forum that is not too active that I use for reference for a variety of things but it appears that several have joined that are probably spammers, but no spamming has occurred, and they may be legitimate people that have been asked to join by others. I'd rather not delete them until I am sure.

I'm aware of how to put them in a custom user group, but it just occured to me that putting them in the "Unregistered / Not Logged In" might save there account info but not allow them to post.

I know this is a strange and possibly silly question.

And right after I clicked submit I realized that forum is using 3.8.0 but I do not think that matters for something so basic.
