Bahrain monarchal rule is ruthlessly despotic. In summer 2010, sporadic protests began. In mid-February 2011, major ones erupted. Bahrainis want democracy. They want King Sheikh Hamad bin Isa al-Khalif's repressive regime replaced. They rally courageously.
