Forum How Do I Get Rid Of Spam Guests That Are Flooding My Site? My website will take almost one minute to load each page. I have confirmed that our hosting is not the issue. A while back, I experienced a flooding of spam users registering on my site. There were thousands of spam members that I personally went through and deleted. I even removed some of the dead forums on the site where they were residing. Now, they are on my site as "guests". If you pull up my site (www.streetcarforums.com) right now, there will be around 2,000 people on it, but 99% are spam. It is all these "people" on the site that is slowing it down. The site functions properly, but runs real, real slow. I’ve upgraded the software to 4.2.0, spent countless hours deleting spam members, posts, blog entries, etc. I have disabled new membership registration to eliminate the continued flood of spammers from continuing to register. How can I get rid of these "guests" if they are not logged in? They have slowed my site down so bad for so long that all my real members are leaving due to page load time.
