Forum Forum crashed with SQL error - 1286 Unknown table engine 'InnoDB' Hi all, just had a forum crash (my first ever after 3 uneventful years of operation, wohoo!) with the SQL error " 1286 Unknown table engine 'InnoDB' ". I've locked my forum and raised the issue with my hosting people as they recently (Feb 5th) upgraded my SQL server to version 5.1.66-cll and my PHP to version 5.3.21. However, searching around it may well have something to do with this... http://vbtechsupport.com/675/ So, I restored one of my most recent back-ups to my Windows 2003 based test server and had a look at my tables. In the last backup I took I can clearly see that my contenttype table was converted to Innodb. However, on the live site if I go through Maintenance | Diagnostics | System Information | Table Status there is nothing in any of the columns for contenttype table but in the comments field it simply states "Unknown table engine 'InnoDB'". I can't even run SQLDumper against the database. So I guess I need to get my hosting company to temporarily enable Innodb, then do a backup, then try to convert contenttype table back to MyISAM and finish by disabling the Innodb! Is that correct? Do I also need to mod "functions_installupgrade.php" and if so can someone explain what mods I need to make? |
