Forum Images from user albums
 

Why can't images from user albums be embedded as images - the url to album images are shown as "attachments" rather than actual images so they don't end with .jpg .gif etc., they end with an attachment ID. Why? It makes no sense that an image from an album can't be embedded in a forum post. How can this be remedied so there is proper flow and integrated usability from one part of the forum to another.
