Forum Best way to Delete a user without Deleting?
 

Deleting a user results in a whole ton of updating counters you have to do.

So Moderators here have said "This is why we prefer not to delete accounts".

So how is it supposed to be done if the user says this to me:

"I'd like to delete this account. I noticed some of the deleted users' posts only say 'guest' but that the username remains on others. If it's at all possible I'd like to delete the username on this account so it just says 'guest' next to the posts."
