Forum Change price of paid subscription and grandfather in old price for renewals
 

I'd like to raise the price of my new paid subscriptions but allow all existing auto-renew subscriptions continue at the old price.
What's the best way to do this?
Can I just change the price?

So for example: My current (soon to be old) subscription price is $6/month and I want the new subscription price to be $10/month.

When paypal automatically pays and exisiting subscription of $6 for the subscription that now costs $10/month will the system consider it fully paid (which is what I'd prefer).

if not, I thought one way around this is to rename the old subscription (will that cause any trouble with existing subscription?) and then either make it inactive (will it still be able to be renewed) or require the permission of a new usergroup of grandfathered in users under the old rate and create new subscription that grants the same privileges at the new rate.

Any advice?
