Forum Spiders &Bbots: What are they allowed to do and see ?
 

Hi All,

I have some questions regarding the spiders / searchbots that visit our forum:

- What rights / permissions do these have ?
- Are they member of any group (as was the case in phpbb)
- How to I test their permissions, can I surf the forum and see it like a spider sees it ?

And is there a difference for bots that are recognised as searchengines and those that are not recognised ?
