Paid Subscription Change
 

Hello all,

I currently have a paid subscription with a couple hundred members. I'm using Paypal with reoccuring charges.

I think I set the price point too high, and I feel that I may be able to increase revenue by lowering the price, which should encourage more people to join.

The downside is that this will undoubtedly upset the people who have paid the higher price. To avoid this, I would like to manually extend the subscription period for everyone who paid the higher price.

Here's my question... Is the Paypal rebilling mechanism independent from the vB system? Specifically, if I extend their membership's expiration date one year in the subscription manager, will Paypal not know this and go ahead and rebill them at the origional rebill date? Does Paypal ping vB before it does rebills to make sure that the specific subscription type is still active (or that the forum still exists)?

My initial thought was to tell everyone to go in and cancell the reoccuring membershop through Paypal and then send me a PM, afterwhich I would manually extend their membership one year, but I would much rather require no action on the part of my members.
