Suite Questions about upgrading to 4.2 from 3.8....
 

Hello, I am making the transition to 4.2 and I have set up a test site of 4.2. I have several questions.

1. I want to make the landing page the front page of the CMS. I read that you have to upload the cms folder first? Then does the normal upload folder go under that folder? Or does the other folders in the Do not upload folder go under?I am sorry but I am abit confused with this one.
2. Can I import my 3.8 database into a the one I have been using for my test forum and then upgrade from there?

Thank you in advance for your help. If you can point me to some clear instructions, I have been reading and I am just unsure so I want to make sure I get it right on the first try or the best I can.
