Forum Locking a Thread
 

Is it possible to lock a specific thread to prevent anyone including the user that submitted it from being able to edit it?

I am going to sponsor a contest, the members will write about a topic and then submit it into the contest. Once they submit it into the contest I need to prevent anyone from editing it. But I want the member that submitted it to be able to post and edit their other topics as usual, just not that one.

Does the close thread option do this? If so, can an administrator open the thread at a later date to allow editing?
