Hello, VB world.

I have just downloaded VB5 Beta, but have elected to kick off using 4.2 to get things started, and will move on from there once things get familiar.

★ To say the least, this is all a bit overwhelming for a lamen.

Basically, I'm looking for any advice from experienced people, for both my sake and the sakes of those who are in a similar situation to myself. And that is in regard to anything at all!

Any advice you have to help me avoid mistakes, and keep me safe from the big, bad internet and it's nasty troll army.

My first real obstacle has hit me, and that is changing the colour of my background header. I've managed to add a logo made by myself to replace the vBulletin default one, but I can't change the surrounding background. I followed the same measures as I did by adding my custom logo using this thread

I understand that there'll be those shaking their heads at the new guy, but for those willing to help out a low level user like myself, it would be most appreciated.
