CMS 301 redirections to CMS
 

Hello

Last year I bought Vb5 and upgraded my forum from 3.8 to 4.2. Basically, what I have is a set of html/css pages and then my forum in it's own forum directory.

Now that I have VB4 and I am really enjoying it much more then 3.8, I wish to use the CMS as my main website instead of using the html/css pages. I have copied over my html/css articles to the CMS and currently have the CMS locked down so that google doesn't penalise me.

Anyway, I know what I want to do, but I am unsure how to implement it in my .htaccess exactly so I was hoping I could ask here to be sure.

I basically want the content page to my CMS to be my home/doorway page so I am assuming I will need a 301 redirect so that it goes to /vbb/content.php? I already have a mod rewrite rule to make www the preferred domain in my .htaccess

Then also, I want to 301 redirect some html pages to articles in my CMS, some of these articles are my biggest ranking pages so I am a little bit nervous about redirecting them.

I would appreciate any help with how to write the redirects. I have been doing some searching but am having trouble finding what I want exactly.
