Forum What are parameters to get users to participate in Forum when they sign up?
 

I believe I've set my forum up fairly tight in that the user must register and once they do so, I send them their password (from the show users screen on the admin and I select "send password to user") and make them part of the registered user group. What are the suggested parameters and best way to setup the user registration so that we can encourage users to sign up and post yet have the security parameters set high enough so we do not get spammed? Does anyone suggest we just allow any users (ie: guest) to be able to post and if so, how is that done and what parmaeters need to be set? I am looking for the suggested parameters that I need to setup so we we get more participation on our Forum.
