Forum New Posts Link Question
 

This is difficult to describe but I'll do my best:

How often does the thing update? Its obviously based on sessions. But I am confused what triggers it to say "These are new posts".

On other forums like PHPBB, I am used to leaving the forum, remaining logged in, and returning to see "No New Posts" unless someone posted something *WHILE MY BROWSER WAS CLOSED* (or while I was no longer viewing the forum).

This one does the same?

Secondly, can I view the latest posts, leave, immediately return, and see "No New Posts" ? If not ... what is the thresshold for it to update.
