Forum User permissions should allow but are not I have a usergroup that should allow access to view the actual threads but keep getting the login screen saying I may not have sufficient persmissions. The usergroup under the Post/Thread Permissions header has all yes except a no on the move own threads. So by default it should be able to view threads no problems. Going to the forum permissions for the particular child forum the usergroup is blank meaning "Standard: Using default usergroup permissions" so that should allow the usergroup access as it had all the yes as mentioned above. The user has Registered Users as it's primary usergroup and the usergroup as the member group which should once again allow the custom usergroup to have access to the forum. The user can view the thread list but cannot view the post list but I'm not understanding why. I went into the edit user and in the combo viewed the forum permissions and got this: Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 11.39.13 AM.png So all should work for this particular forum correct? The child forum's parent category has the same as the above, defaulting to the usergroup's permissions and the same as the image. I'm not understanding why the user can view the thread list and not the post list. Attached Images |
