Hello. I have a site that I have been running for over 8 years called www.yourbbsucks.com. The version of vBulletin software that was running was 3.0.2 (with no upgrades). Recently, the site was hacked. It was sending out an inordinate amount of emails over the server it was housed on (1,000's of emails). This resulted in the servers being shut down. I purchased the upgrade to vBulletin 4.2, hoping that would correct the hack. Apparently, it did not. The hosting service now refuses to allow my site to run. So...

I went to a new hosting site, and paid for 3 years with more security. I have been unsuccessful moving the site from one hosting service to another. For a number of reasons... the files on the old server won't move over to the new one, the database can't be moved (and I paid professionals to do this). So...

I purchased a new version of vBulletin 4.2, along with a professional installation for the new hosting service. The thing is... I can NOT afford to lose the information from my old site. Somehow, it MUST be ported into the new site. There is 8 years worth of archived information on that site that is used by me, and many people all over the world. Losing it is simply not an option. So...

I managed to back-up a file of my db. However, I think it was backed up in the 3.0.2. version. My first question is, do you think they will be able to port the information from the old site during the installation, using the back up db, to the new vBulletin 4.2 version? My second question is, if they can't, what do I do?

Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.
