Forum Changing default page
 

I currently have my forum as the default site.
I now have a wordpress site I would like to make the default page and make the forum accessed from the navbar.

I added another blog tab but the default wordpress site is index.php that conflicts with the forum. Is there another option other than putting the forum on a subdomain? It is long established with lots of link backs.
