Forum Design help, please... Hi! I'm new at vBulletin, and have set up a new site using 4.2.0 PL3. My application to AdSense got denied because it was too difficult to navigate - and I agree. Menu, submenu, section, AND category? A four dimensional matrix? Totally confusing. And so have I become confused in trying to figure out what is what and what goes where. All I want is a very simple interface. From what I've read here, that's not possible out of the box. So I need some direction as to what I actually can do to get as close as possible to it. This is my ideal design: A tab menu of 'Home', 'About', 'FAQ' ,'Documentation', 'Forum', 'Fun'. All but 'Forum' should have it so I can have a sidebar with Donate and Ad links, and possibility to add and arrange widgets and articles easily. No submenu. Then to the right there should be a widget listing brands, ie 'SprocketMania Japan' ,'Sprocket'R'US', 'Wir GeSprocken! GMBH', etc. The thinking is that when you click on News, and then a brand, you get the news for that brand only. If you then click on Documentation, you get the documentation again for that brand only which you have already selected. If you then click on a different brand, you get the documentation for that brand and so on. A two dimensional selection. How can I approximate that with 4.2.0? Any idea on getting towards it is greatly appreciated. Brgds Danny |
