Forum Editing an existing custom BB Code and getting old posts to use it Hi there, The forum I administer uses a custom BB Code to provide a 'spoiler' tag to hide particular post contents. Unfortunately, it doesn't play ball with the default Mobile Style (the button doesn't show the contents when pressed). So... I'd like to change the BB Code to one that does work. However, when I do this on our test site, posts that were made using the spoiler tag with the old code do not update to the updated code. Only new posts use the the updated code. So, for example, if a post was written last week using the 'spoiler' tag, and I change the BB Code now, the new BB Code isn't implemented retrospectively on that old post. I'm assuming this has something to do with how the code is parsed and stored in a cache? How do I force old posts to use this new code? |
