Re install Ok, what I plan to do is wait for beta 22 and when available, I will do a clean install other than update. I will update my WAMP server aswell with its new PHP update. Quote: Apache 2.2.22 – Mysql 5.5.24 – PHP 5.3.13 XDebug 2.1.2 XDC 1.5 PhpMyadmin 3.4.10.1 SQLBuddy 1.3.3 webGrind 1.0 I have (incompetently) messed around with a few things in beta 21 but I haven't tampered with any functionality as far as I am aware. I have learned a lot of things on the way. The design and visual aspect of what I have managed to do is good enough for me and I wouldn't want to lose it. I have kept a copy of all the css stuff and any other code I have messed around with in styling. The questions: After installing beta 22, is it just a matter of over writing the necessary files in order to bring back the design elements or is there a better way of doing this? Does it matter if I drop the data base and begin anew? I will create another database in the same name with the same user to save editing the config files. Basically I want to keep what I have visually and be confident in knowing that the functionality of VB 5 has not been affected by myself. Thank you and good morning.... |
