Forum Answered Removing www. Correctly I've noticed when working on many sites as of late that too many site owners and forum administrators are removing www. from their URL when specifying the site URL in vBulletin settings i.e. AdminCP > Settings > Options > "Site Name / URL / Contact Details" Is set to: http://yoursite.com/forum examplewrongurl.png ^ This should have www. in the url, if it does not you can receive the "Invalid Redirect" error when users login to the forum, some of you know this error and have it coming up now on your sites when you login, this information shows you how to solve that. The reason for the invalid redirect is the fact you tried to "trick" the system and remove the www. from the url by simply not typing it in/excluding it and that is not the proper way despite it seeming simple enough and the fact it seems to work "initially" however I've ran into a few quirky sites and issues when this was not setup properly. Removing www. from your site should be done via the .htaccess file, here is an example you can reference: http://yoast.com/how-to-remove-www-f...h-mod_rewrite/ Once you have edited your existing .htaccess or included a new one using the above rule ensure your URL is set correctly. Should be set to: http://www.yoursite.com/forum exampleurl.png Using .htaccess to remove the www. is the correct way so please double-check your forum and ensure your setup properly to avoid any login issues including Invalid Redirect error messages!
