Translation of vBulletin (into Afrikaans)
 

Hi,

Please could you give me an indication of how long it would take to translate vBulletin into a different language (Afrikaans)? How many strings need to be translated (maybe I could leave error messages in English.. :confused: ). What kind of process needs to be followed? I'm wondering how feasible it would be to translate the forum.

Also, if there are any existing Afrikaans language packs, how great would that be!? Please let me know if that's the case.

I had a look at vBET, but those translations are pretty rough. I don't think that would fly with Afrikaans speakers, unfortunately.

I've found language packs for myBB and for SMF forum software and am wondering whether it would be better to run with those, but vBulletin's license fees are within my client's budget and seems to come with lots of other advantages.
