Forum User being forced to reset password with each login
 

Running vBulletin 4.2.3For some strange reason, I have a user who continually gets denied when logging in and can only do so if he resets his password via the password reset link.

did take a look in to the user table and his salt value seems very different (in format) than those of some other users so I have no idea whether or not that could be part of the issue.

Here is the workflow:

- Login to the forum gets timed out, or I try to log in from a different browser or on his home computer. Basically, he's logged out and have to log back in.
- Login fails saying my credentials are wrong. So he requests that it be sent to me by specifying my email, and submitting.
- He get an email telling him his username is (which is correct), and if he wishes to reset the password, click on the link in the message. He clicks on the link.
- He gets the email with a new generated password.
- He follows the link in the email to reset the password. He logs in using the new generated password, and proceed to change my password. All is well, it seems.
- In another window, If he tries log in with the same credentials with the new password. Invalid password.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
