Keeping Information Secret When the Cat is Out of the Bag
 

Dear Vbulletin Community,

I run a website for a very large community. Recently, I accidently slipped up with some forum permissions and regular users were able to peek my private forums. This included posts regarding my sites upcomming plans, plans for my companies future products, pricing details, and a lot of information we were not ready to disclose yet.

I'm wondering, how should I handle this in the forums. Being as how I want to keep this information secret, as much of it may have changed, how do I prevent my customers from talking about it publicly?

Do I risk alienating my customers? What would you do?
