Forum iPad 2 Users Can't Paste URLs into "Insert Image from URL" Dialogue Box
 

I have two iPad 2 users who regularly visit our vb 4.2 forum.

They have no difficulty selecting, copying, and pasting URLs from the address bar in their Safari browsers into the "Insert URL" dialogue box, in order to place a live link in a forum post.

However, they cannot do the same task with the "Insert Image From a URL" dialogue box, in order to link to an image on the internet in a forum post. When they paste, nothing appears in the URL field.

There is a work-around but it is kind of a pain. They have to select and copy an image URL on one webpage, come back to my forum, paste that URL in the address bar of Safari while on my forum, select and copy the image URL again from the address bar, and then paste it into the "Insert Image from a URL" dialogue box. This is the case regardless of whether the Basic Uploader or Enhanced is enabled.

What is the difference between the two dialogue boxes (the URL box and the image box) that one works and one doesn't? I have an iPad 1 and have no such issues, by the way, so I am not sure that it's a Flash issue, which seems to be a popular explanation for iPad issues on forums. Thanks in advance for any help.
