Forum Admincp, Modcp, and permissions 4.2.0pl3. New board only a couple months old. Been searching around the forum here, trying to see if this has been asked before. It appears it has, in some ways, but it's not totally clear to me. I would like to know if there is any way to assign/share options from the ACP to the MCP. Some things, such as "Notices", aren't really a security risk, and it would be a huge help if there were some of these items that the Moderators could access and change. I'm OK with manually editing anything that needs editing to make this happen. I do understand, in my searching/reading, that vB would rather prefer some of this stuff to go away - but it's great (as the site owner) to be able to decide what Mods can and can't do, even if it's a PITA to manually do it. So - is there a way to manually go in and do some edits, so some of these minor items can be in the MCP? Our site is a very socially active gaming community, and the main Notice is changed frequently. Having come from phpbb, we had a wysiwyg announcements mod, that I could assign to be accessible to usergroups of my choosing. If anyone is aware of a 3rd party Announcemtns add-on/mod that Moderators can access, that would also be great (I've looked, and the News & Announcements mod is again, ACP only). Thanks! |
