Use domain root dir + existing html pages?
 

Have not tried it yet (still testing in a jailed /forums/ dir), but can you dump all the forum files/scripts in the root dir of a domain and still use existing /index.html, /about.html etc. pages? My Apache setup reads /index.html 1st, then /index.php
