Forum Forum upgrade Issues and Confusions? I want to upgrade my forum from v 3.8.7 Patch Level 3http://version.vbulletin.com/version...&id=VBFC4C5327 to 4.2.latest (stable one). Current forum is MySQL v 4.1 & PHP 5.2 (windows based GoDaddy server) That server has option of MySQL 5.0 too. #1 - If I follow upgrade steps then to move mysql 4.1 database to new 5.0 - Not sure if installation would ask to move database if I created a new v 5.0 database before starting preocess? How this work typically.....common practices? #2 - Looks I can't buy 4.2.x anymore and vBulletin forcing us to buy 5.0 BETA version. I don't want to jump any beta version. Should I stop thinking about upgrade for the time being or any option exist get 4.2.x? Thx. |
