Forum How do I limit Posts by New Users
 

I have run a VBulletin forum for the Mustang Owners Club of Great Britain since 2002, and we have grown a lot in the last 5 years. We want to encourage casual users who join the forum to join the club.

The club would like to trial restricting posts of new forum users to 10 posts, and then only allow more posting to the forum once they have signed up to the club.

I am not looking to use a subscription service, as we currently use PayPal from our website, but I would like to see if I can use User Groups and Moderators to handle the changes to the users once they hit 10 Posts and then join the club.

If a user hits 10 Posts, I want to ensure they cannot post anything else, but can read what is on the forum.

Is this achievable in VBulletin 4.2 ?

I have purchased the upgrade to 5 as well, so if this is something that can be easily done there, then I can consider upgrading and testing.
