Forum Showing forum smilies on Sidebar as well
 

Hi,

I have a sidebar set up to display recent posts from a certain forum (showing post title and a preview of the content). However, smilies are not shown in the sidebar but rather converted into their original bbcode (for example :smile: should show a smiling face but just shows :smile:). This is a bit odd, since some bbcodes are not meaningful at all and it makes for some strange previews.

I was wondering whether there is a way to display these smilies in the sidebar too, I have already looked for/asked for an existing mod for this issue on vbulletin.org, but not luck.
