Forum Editing Forum Email Is there any way to edit the generic email sent as notifications? Many of our members have these emails forwarded to their cell phones as text messages and I know at least Verizon truncates the message at 160 characters so the message itself does not show in the text - just the email title and the 'Username just replied to a thread...', etc.... Example of email received from vbulletin.org: Quote: Reply to thread 'Miscellaneous Hacks - Sidebar Anywhere (Formerly Sidebar for Activity Stream) by BOP5' Dear tsptom, Henry has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Miscellaneous Hacks - Sidebar Anywhere (Formerly Sidebar for Activity Stream) by BOP5 - in the vBulletin 4.x Add-ons forum of vBulletin.org Forum. This thread is located at: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=999999&goto=newpost Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** [ ACTUAL MESSAGE] I would like to truncate this as much as possible so the members can at least see part of the message itself - if that is possible. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
