Democratic demonstrations banned for going 'too far'

Bahrain sought to crush ongoing pro-democracy protests yesterday with a ban on unauthorised rallies. The Interior Ministry said any unauthorised "gathering would be tackled through legal actions against those calling for and participating in it."
