UTF-8 - How to maintain the same language, moving to a new host or installing new mods? Dear vBulletin, I had really trouble with the ILLEGAL MIX OF COLLATIONS as DATABASE/MYSQL error, and after checking and asking for help, I realised that I have more than 400 Tables that I have to fix! And not only the tables, but also the FIELDs inside each table! I could never get done! I am thinking to Re-Upload my database and start over again, But this time how can I make sure to MAINTAIN and KEEP the origianl UTF-8 LANGUAGE the vBulletin USES, and not mix it later with other addongs or mods when I install a new mods or product... I really need help fixing this! Because If I dont do it from the start then It will give me problems later like now! So please guide me how to SET my vBulletin LANGUAGE and MYPHPADMIN language to vBulletins basic, and keep that till the end! And I added this line below in my config.php, or removed the slash: Quote: $config['Mysqli']['charset'] = 'utf8'; And another person said I should change the ['Mysqli'] to ['Mysql'] instead! So Msql and not Mysqli..... I am a bit confused about it, Is this a good thing to do, and what more can I do to not ruin my tables and my original vbulletni language in future? Thank you very much in advance! |
