Sell vB4 and Buy vB5 Connect for Same Site?
 

Hi everyone,

I had a question regarding purchasing vB5. I currently have my site running vB4. Can I purchase a brand new vB5 Connect license (not an upgrade) and use that on my current site and then sell my vB4 license to someone else? The vB4 license has never previously been transferred, but was an upgrade from vB 3. Is this allowed? Would I just have to use my new vB5 Connect purchase and download vB4 files from that and overwrite my existing ones?

This way I can shave around $100 off the vB5 price (which would be more than the upgrade discount offered by IB), continue to use the software that I want, get the vB4 Suite add-ons that I don't currently own, and also have an upgrade path if vB5 ever becomes usable.

Would this be allowed?
