Forum Forum Promotions Having A Mind Of Its Own
 

Hello,

My forum promotions seem to have gone haywire these days and I can't see why.
I'm pretty experienced now with vBulletin, and I understand what I'm looking at, but I can't figure this one out.

My forum promotes Registered users after 20 posts to the "advanced users group".
I have checked the settings and it's all set correctly, I have ran the update titles and ranks tool also.

But for some very odd reason, it is promoting after 7 posts.. why 7? Nothing on my forum works around the number 7 and I can't think of any conflicts etc that would even involve that number.

Anyway I've read alot of threads and done my research but I can't see why it would promote people after 7 posts. Is there anyway for me to be able to bug test this?

I'm thinking I should disable all plugins and run the update tool and see if this changes anything? I wouldn't imagine any of the plugins have done this though (then again what would I know)....

Is there any templates or files I can take a peak at, to see if everything is running correctly? I don't mind doing any tricky work if someone can explain where to look, or just explain exactly how something may conflict with the promotions system?

Anyway thanks for any replies, I really do appreciate the feedback and knowledge shared.
