Can I import specific data?
 

This is not specifically a vB5 issue although as my upgrade will be to this version best to ask here.
So I have never been able to get Facebook posting or Like to work on my existing site, however on a new install I could. So my thought is to create a new database for vB5 but I can not afford to lose quite a large chunk of the stuff on my present board most of which is for private members, this leads to my questions...

Can I import to a new DB the users?
Can I import just specific threads or single forums from within the board?

If any of this is possible how would I do it?
