Forum Problems with the scheduled task of sending e-mail digests.
 

I am trying to get a new forum started for our Charity, which will rely on people getting digests of forum activity in order to work.

At present digests are not being sent out. I'm testing this out with a few different test accounts and subscribing a couple of users to different threads. When new posts having added to the threads - there is no corresponding daily digest.

I went into the task scheduler and there was no record of the digest activity happening, but no e-mails sent - I checked in the spam folder just in case. I also tried this out again - except this time going into the scheduler and clicking on the button to send a digestive out now - again nothing happened.

The problem seems to lie, not in the actual scheduled task - but in the e-mails being sent out. I have made the emails work before – but they have never worked consistantly

I went into the user section and tried a test email, but nothing was sent out.

Any ideas what I need to try ? – Could it be my service provider – or would anyone recommend a complete re-installation – or any other suggestions.
