Forum Class 'vb_Search_Indexcontroller_Null' not found .. after upgrading from 3.8.7 to 4.x.x
 

Hello,

My forum was using 3.8.7 with no problem and afterwards I decided to upgrade to 4.2.0 but after uploading all files and run the upgrade.php I get this error...


This error is happening while creating new thread. The browser shows this error but the thread is being opened without a problem.

I have removed all plugins, delete all suspicious files, remove all the modified templates, and I have a pure 3.8.7 installation on both at FTP side and also the database side.

I have tried with several versions such as 4.0.8 or 4.2.0 publishing suite but the result is same.


If I disable the plugin/hook system, it works !
But I need plugins therefore I have to get rid of this annoying error.

I will appreciate your prompt reply

Note: After a new fresh install of 4.2 there is no error but I do not want to lose users, threads and messages :(
