Forum Mass delete of users I'm setting up a new forum, but in the process of doing that its been flooded with fake users - over a thousand of them. I've gone to the 'users awaiting moderation' and deleted all of them, however when I go to the User Manager I find a thousand plus 'users.' I've read the posts which talk about all of the add ins to prevent them from signing up, and I'll be doing that. But that's closing the barn door now. It's pretty tedious to delete them one by one, is there some way to delete them as a group? As far as I can tell they're all in the Users awaiting Email notification usergroup. Is there a way to mass delete everyone in that group? How are they getting past the moderation required? Why aren't they disappearing when I delete everyone in Moderation Required/ Or am I confused as to what that means? As an aside, an awful lot of them are coming from gmail and look a lot like [email protected]. They all contain the same kind of address containing the "+" sign. Is there some overview of how they get signed up on forums? Curiosity has me wondering - it might alleviate my frustration Jim |
