Forum Can Subscription system do this?
 

Hi guys/gals.

I want to setup a subforum on my VB4 install that has special rules. Problem: I'm a rather new vbulletin admin, and fail to see things in front of my face at times. :)

Back to the special rules, basically I only want the mods/admins and people paying a subscription to have the ability to post threads in it. I however want any member of the forum (subscription or not) to be able to post replies.

Is there are way to create a special usergroup for subscription holders, and then is it further possible to only let certain users groups create new threads? I'm rather unfamiliar with the whole subscription situation, so I didn't know if it could then automatically upgrade the usergroup for that user without me then having to do it by hand. It would get old to try to keep up with users with subscriptions vs the ones without, etc.... Basically can that be automatically controlled.

You don't have to spoon feed me a method then, I'm not expecting that. All I want to know is if it's yes and no, what can and can't be... I'll figure out how to make it happen, just looking for a little vague direction. :D
