Forum Parent child styles/Merge
 

I haven't done this in a while so I've forgotten. And, actually in the past I do remember making changes to each individual template. But, I just installed the other template on it's own. Not the way I'll be asking in my question below.

Anyway, here's the question:

I have a style on my site and we'll call it Style1. I would like to add another style that the members can chose to use if they wish and we'll call it Style2.

Style2 is from the same guy who created Style1 just a different color. Please note I've already made change to some template changes to Style1 like putting boxes around the posbit information, status icons, etc...

When I install Style2 should it be a child of Style1 OR do I merge it into Style1. And, if I merged it do the changes from Style1 get put into Style2. Or, I must make all the edit templates again?
