Blog entry and forum thread
 

Here is a suggestion I'm sure woud be nice to have as well as get rid of redundancy. When someone creates a new thread there is a check-box "publish to blog"

if ticket the threat goes into the user's blog as an new entry, but it's also a forum thread where others can read and comment.
