Forum hacked by code injection to all my index.php/html files
 

Hi all, my 3.7.0 (php 4.1) forum (and other websites in the same shared hosting account) was hacked in the last few days. Code of a hidden iframe with a link to an obviously malicious .cn site was injected in all my index.php, index.html and main.html files. :(

I have since replaced the infected files but I wonder whether I can somehow tell whether the forum database has been hacked too. Can they have injected hidden html in the database? Should I absolutely restore from an older backup (losing recent forum activity)?

Any advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
