Forum Directory & RSS
 

Hello people,

I'm new to the owning and promoting a web forum. I have found a ton of useful information here at vB.com but I wanted to touch base a little more on a few subjects.

Subject one: Forum directories. I ran across one in a guys Sig here on vB.com and wanted to see if someone would explain the pros and cons?


Subject two: RSS. Yes I understand there is a How to guide on vB.com explaining how to do this and a little about the subject. I'm looking for a better understanding. Does RSS actually post a thread on your web forum and if so, does it do it under your SN or do you make a new account for it?
